These unique little non electric and wooden heated wilderness cabins are located only 10 kilometers away from the Ivalo village but they are still in the wilderness and surrounded by peaceful and natural environment where is nobody else around you. Both of the cabins are located next to the lakes. Only difference is that Pitkäjärvi is on the side of the bigger lake and Hippiäinen up on the hill near by the smaller lake.

3 days program

Day 1  (Sami Culture & Inari village)

Visit Siida Museum in Inari 

The Sámi Museum Siida is the national museum of the Sámi and a national special museum in Finland. The Sámi Museum stores the spiritual and material culture of the Finnish Sámi in its collections and presents it to the public through its exhibitions and publications. Its main purpose is to support the identity and the cultural self-esteem of the Sámi. 

Day 2  (Day hike, fishing, berry picking)

This shorter hike for the view lovers will do, if you are not a fan of the long hikes but still you want to enjoy a memorable landscape and experiences of Lapland. This berry picking trip takes you to see landscapes of Lapland and by the time we get back you have the chance to cool down in the lake or try fishing and enjoy your berries by the campfire.

Day 3  (Mountain biking in Saariselkä and visit Saariselkä village)

1 hour up to 3 hour guided mountain biking tour

Cycling through your destination brings you closer to the land and its people than just about any other style of travel. Saariselkä area is best to see with mountain or fat bikes.

Day 4 (Visit North Cape, Norway) 

Scenery drive through Lapland up to end point of Europe

North Cape means that you are at the end point of Europe - the northernmost of the continental mainland. This is a treasured place for photography and contemplation. This is the culmination of all journeys.

On the way back we are spending our night in a little village before heading back to Ivalo.

Day 5 

You are free to choose from the summer activities Laplandlife has to offer.
